FINDING BALANCE, HEALTH, WELLNESS, SAFETY @ HOME
Many of these resources were curated during the early days of the pandemic but are still useful and relevant now.

Dear San Diego Unified Families:
As we continue prioritizing wellness and well-being in our school communities, we are pleased to announce the launch of the San Diego Unified Health & Wellness Hotline. This resource will serve as a hub for students, staff, and families to call for information and connections to community, health, and district resources.
The Health & Wellness Hotline, 760-334-7878, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on district holidays.
Students, staff, and families are encouraged to use this hotline for a range of support, resources and referrals. Hotline staff will keep your conversations confidential and can connect you to neighborhood specific resources for a range of needs, including food, clothing, and housing assistance; health insurance; general medical and dental care services; wellbeing resources; district support and more.

Coach Lord shares relaxation techniques for our busy Birney families
Nobody is perfect. When you lose your sense of humor do what we are teaching the kindergarteners...Pause, Breathe, Finish Up!
Then...
Take a break. Throw a ball. Cool down. Share a hug. Talk it out. Love your pet. Take a nap..
So...
Put away your long to-do list. If you got one thing done today, that's good enough. If your child made it to school, then you've done a great job!
Good Enough is Good Enough.
