School Supplies

Public Education for All

As part of a public education, ALL students receive supplies at school.

Unless something specific is requested by the teachers, you do not need to send students with any supplies other than a backpack, and if they are in grades 2-5th grade, their assigned school laptop, charged and ready for use. UTK-1st grade have an assigned computer that is kept in the classroom.

ALL 2nd-5th graders are expected to arrive at school with a charged laptop and the charger everyday

At Alice Birney Elementary, we discourage the purchase of unique supplies for school. Instead, we prefer that parents take the time to set up a special place for their child to study and do homework with all those special shiny things at home to motivate their child! We find when students bring unusual items to school, other students may be tempted by them.
