This is a message from San Diego Unified School District reminding all families that nutritious meals are available at no cost for all children 18 years and younger at 81 school locations throughout the district Monday through Friday from noon to 2 p.m. Birney Elementary is a distribution point.
Come stop by and pick-up some food, save time cooking, get outside and say "hello". We love seeing our families and it's a great diversion after a long-morning zooming.
Meals now include a breakfast, lunch and evening meal for each day of the week. That’s 21 meals in a week for each child. You can expect to receive three meals on Mondays, four meals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and five meals on Thursdays and Fridays per child.
Additionally, extra fresh produce and grocery items are available on a rotating basis at select sites. Birney's day this week is Friday, 10/16/2020. Grab lunch, some extra items.

Children do not need to be present to receive meals, but a photo of each child must be shown if they are not present at meal pick-up.
