Birney’s Big Give on Thursday December 9 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm-ish is a one-day online donation drive held in December (our version of “Giving Tuesday”) to raise funds to maintain our IB program.

Our IB program is what differentiates Birney from other elementary schools and we cannot take it for granted! Fundraising supports IB certification fees and teacher training, Specials Classes (Garden, Spanish, and Art), and IB Enrichment opportunities like field trips and assemblies. It costs $350 per student per year to fund the IB program and the other initiatives that FOABE provides to the school. These include providing the funding for the Garden, Spanish and Performing Arts and Music programs. It also includes paying for Teacher supplies and field trips, virtual and in-person.

This year, the BIG GIVE goal is to raise $35,000 from individual donors. Help us make this goal and get your tax-deductible donations in before the year ends.
